Bought this lock wanting to eliminate the issue of having to manually lock and unlock the tailgate. Reviewed the manufacturer's website and looked like this kit was all that was needed. When I recieved the kit all of the associated cabling parts were missing. When I called on it I was told that an accessory kit was needed and they could not tell me why it did not tell this in any of their information. The pictures on the website as well the pictures on the box show the associated wiring and parts. The installation instructions were very vague (one size fits all) and the diagrams were printed so you could not read them. Buyer beware if you decide to purchase this.

I couldnt figure out for the life of me how to install this lock. right out of the box, the instructions looked like they ran out of ink, so i couldnt make out the diagrams. I went on the part web site and was able to download the same PDF manual... the diagram had nothing to do with truck. the diagram is a general diagram that 'applies to all', but each manufactor has different handles etc, so i think there should be a diagram per make / model.

the seller was nice to return my item. i received the box without the accessories. i would have kept it if i knew how to install it, it looked like a nice idea.

If they sell it, and others can mount it, then i guess the product is great, but it didn't work out for me.
