5Great Gerber folder with nice stag-horn look handle  Sep 24, 2008
By J. Henson "Many Interests"
The handle of this Gerber knife was what attracted me to it. I like Gerber knives generally and found this one to be up to the same quality standards I've come to expect from a Gerber knife. The stag look handle was a bit of a different look from the more "modern" style handles on most of the line. This knife would make a nice gift for about anyone, in my case an addition to my collection. Nice to see Gerber is still working at providing new items.

5Gerber 22-41052 edge pocket knife  Jan 21, 2010
By Arthur V. Rowe "Artista"
Great pocket knife, easy to carry and the velvet bag keeps it looking new. Smaller than many knives of this style. But easier for me to handle. t feelsright in my hand and does everything a larger knife will do.

1Questionable Quality  Dec 23, 2011
By Allen Nelson
I was some what taken back when I received this knife. I actually ordered two initially, but the box broke open in shipping and only one arrived. Amazon as always was very helpful and sent a replacement. The replacement really blew my socks off when I got it...first of all, it was almost impossible to unlock the blade once opened all the way...secondly the bolsters weren't even close to matching each other. One side was severely concave when compared to the other (quit unlike the pictures). This one I returned for a refund. The other knife that had arrived in the first shipment raised my concern as well. There appeared to be some sort of compound to fill in the gaps for the nice looking etching work. The container had a fair amount of the compound shaking around when I opened it, which is what drew my attention. That's when I noted, in small print, "MADE IN CHINA". I've heard over the years that some stuff out of China can be good quality, but for GERBER to be presenting this knife under their name, just leaves me stumble dumb. The first knife was intended to be a gift, I don't think I'll embarrass myself by giving it as a gift.....the price was nice, but the quality really appears to be maybe a $10 or $15 knife...at best. This came as a surprise to me, I've always found GERBER products to be of fine quality in the past....that no longer appears to be true.

As a result, I've changed my gift to a Case knife (researched and purchased @ Amazon), one that I know is first rate quality and made right here in America. Don't get me wrong, I'm not banging the drum lauding "BUY IN AMERICA", I just know that with Case knives you get what you pay for. Lesson learned?....maybe, but I've noticed when researching knives on the WEB that a lot of the knife companies don't always let you know where the knife was made....in fact there are quit a few companies (not just knife companies)that go to great effort to try to keep the consumer in the dark. That's a shame too, because I believe that will back fire on many companies in the future!

Final review of the knife revealed to me a fairly good blade, poor assembly of the knife overall and what appears to be "patch work" to cover up flaws in the knifes appearance.

5A gift for me.  Mar 26, 2010
By Jerri Beridon "walker"
I really enjoy this knife. It's just the right size for me, it suits me. What truly sold me (it is beautiful), the Stag Lock-Back. I also use it at work whenever needed. I would have no problem doing business with this seller again.

2Good looking knife but the quality is not there  Mar 02, 2012
By Chris
I bought this knife thinking that the quality would be good, it does after all carry the Gerber name. The knife does look outstanding, I love the bolsters and the blade came really sharp. I have used this knife about 6 times and there is already considerable movement between the blade and the lock. I have put my $5 Walmart Winchester knife to way more use and it is still more solid than this one. I will without question be returning this knife. I know it was only $23, but I can find better.
