Kitesurfer Sep 20, 2008
By captain critical This is a handy little device I can keep in the pocket of my boardshorts. Since I am not too familiar with approximate windspeeds by "feel" (no previous sailing or other experience), this is/was a good way for me to build memory and put a "number" to the strength of the breeze. This helps to pick the right size kite for the conditions. The wheel/propeller gets stuck after the salt water drys, but is easily remedied by rewetting it. I recommend it to those with no experience with wind, or those having to choose the right kite size, and want a pocket device.

Great Tool! Jun 16, 2008
By John V. Wright Very good tool. Have used it on my days sailing and at work.
Easy to use and waterproof. The temp. function may not be quick
and you must hold from the sides so not to read the heat from your
finger. But in summary for the price can't beat it.

Skywatch Xplorer 2 Anemometer with Wind Chill and Temp Feb 10, 2011
By hrh1945 The product arrived before anticipated delivery date and was securely contained in shipping box. My only concern after a few days of use on the golf course is the difficulty of setting wind speed (MPH vs KPH & FPS), temperature (C or F), Chill Factor, and "max wind speed" vs. "temperature display preferences with a "single button" to navigate thru multiple menus displayed on the screen in several locations (plus CF at third spot). After stumbling into "MPH" wind speed setting at top of display and "F" temperature read-out below that in lieu of "max wind speed" (measured), I limit my button presses to a single "power-on" press (it uses an auto-off feature). Note: the manufacturer provides a flow chart of sub-menus on their internet site per guidance from the 1/4-inch thick user guide booklet (used for Xplorer 1, 2, 3 & 4 models). This small (pocket) size wind, temp, and CF gage meets my needs quite adequately and can be used to measure water and solid surface temperatures by direct contact.

Very pleased Dec 27, 2010
By Philobeto This was a gift for my Brother-In-Law and I was happy to get it in time for Christmas Day. The shipping and packaging was perfect also. I would recommend this item and company to others. Thanks again for your professionalism.
Sincerely,
Philip Orlando
