I own a Walther 7.65/.32 Model 4 semi automatic pistol. The pistol had lost most of it's bluing over the years. I bought the Perma Blue kit to see if I could bring back the pistols original finish. Following the directions exactly resulted in a blue finish very close to the original. I am quite satisfied with the product and would recommend it because it is easy to use and produces good results.

easy instructions. works really well. i restored an 18 yr. old, 1851 navy colt that looked like it had been laying along side of a road for all those 18 years. after many hours getting the rust off and getting to bare metal, i was finally able to use the blueing kit. it had everything i needed to complete the process which was nice. i didn't have to make a run to the store to get something i forgot.

i put three coats on my revolver, and i have to say it looks great. all my friends cannot believe the difference. it turned out to be a really nice show piece, as well as a blast to shoot.

all in all, i would have to say the product worked real well. i would rate it on a scale of 0-10 with at least a 9.

You will be frustrated if you use this crap. I called manufacture and got run around. Won't but anything from Birchwood/Casey and will spread the word....won't stand behind the products. This WILL ruin yor gun!!!

It comes off very fast. not the way you want to go on bluing. Do not buy this.
If you go to the metal still. You can not get the bluing on the gun.

Excellent product! I have never done this before and did a rifle and a pistol. They both came out great. The pistol was my second try and it may be a little better than the rifle (maybe not), but experience from the rifle gave me more confidence. Other guys have seen both guns and were really impressed.
