For a small (2 AAA batteries) it puts out a lot of light and is very convenient to carry.

No, seriously. It is a mag lite, I really shouldn't even need to review this. Buy it, drop it in mud, throw it across the room, run it over with a truck (I've done it) and then twist the end. The light still turns on, and is as bright as those 15-led lights with one bulb. Winning.
