5Packs a Punch  Apr 23, 2011
By Boston Bluesman
I keep this saw in my Camelbak and use it to clear dead falls when mountain biking. The saw is compact, yet makes quick work of downed trees. Great size, effective cutting, sturdy blade and reasonable price. Overall get purchase.

3It works  Mar 21, 2012

This is a nice durable packable folding saw for the price. However I think there are better options out there. It will work for what I need it to but upon using it I noticed the blade does bind up. Not sure if it is because the blade is thicker or if the teeth are even with the rest of the blade but it does bind up on relatively easy cuts. I would say spend the extra $3 and get a corona clipper, the 10" version I recently used blows the primos out of the water and almost never binds up. I wish I would have spent the extra few bucks and gone with a bahco or corona (no I dont represent either company). I will continue to use the primos and see if it ends up performing any better.

it works on small limbs, if you try to use it for roughly the size limb that it looks like it could handle, you will be tired by the time you get thru. Great for small time camping, would not use it for long time survival trials. also wear gloves, grips will put blisters on delicate hands, my friend found out when He use it, he is a city boy trying to become a SURVIVAL EXPERT.
