good blade Nov 09, 2006
By Thomas J. Kotarba
"osman"
this knife is solid, and extremely well crafted, yet very light and maneuverable at the same time. comes very machine-sharp, and the blade quality is very good. it's so sharp and thin at the top that the tip of the blade has to be taken care of (i.e., don't throw it at the ground or stab hard things--the tip can break or bend) other than that, a great knife for the price. highly recomended.

Great Price & Great Knife Oct 05, 2011
By Quince I recently saw this knife at a crossroads of the west gun and knife show. I already own the mini pentagon and was looking for the full size with a leather sheath. They did not have a leather sheath for it at the show only the nylon with kydex blade guard inside, and they were asking $125.00 for it. I am glad I waited and searched amazon. While I was hesitant about the nylon sheath at first I am so glad that I got it now. It is super functional and can be configured for almost any carry style you can think of. This is my back up knife to go along with my daily carry ccw and both go with me everywhere every time I leave the house. The pouch on the front of the sheath is great to store an extra magazine, and holds both single or double stack magazines securley.

Great knife Apr 05, 2009
By Sureshot862 The first time I saw this knife I fell in love. It is simple and functional. This is not a hunting knife or a camping knife. It was designed as a back up weapon for military or law enforcement personnel. It is what it is. The blade is good quality and extremely sharp. The tip is very thin, so you need to be careful what you use it on, i.e. don't pry open any paint cans with it. I've heard that SOG stopped production of this knife, so if you can pick one up for less than $80, it's a good find. I paid $85 for mine. They're pretty hard to come by and most of the time go for $100-$125, so if you want one, you had better grab it quick. The older model came with a leather sheath. The newer one has a kydex sheath. I prefer the kydex one. I gave it five stars because there isn't anything higher on the scale.

Combat tested Nov 27, 2010
By morgan I have used this knife in hand to hand combat not sure if I'm free to say where and when but this knife saved my life. Even as dull as it was this knife functioned well at its primary roll, a fighting knife. When I reached for it the rubberized grip was easy to grab, pulled free of its carrier cleanly the scuffle lasted seconds but I walked away. Great product. I bought this knife thinking "Yeah it will look cool on my belt in the field". Never did i think i would use it. Thank you SOG
