5Worked Great! First Time! Right Out Of The Box!  Mar 24, 2008
By Officer 777
I was really impressed with this camera... I raise chickens and had a
marauder stealing hens from the coop. I could never find any evidence of
what the thief was until I installed the Moultrie Game Spy 6.0. The first
night out, in total darkness, it caught the culprit on video... it was a
Bobcat!! I have since installed an electric fence to keep it out.
The Moultrie 6.0 is very easy to setup and use. I highly recommend it. I
have used it several times to video wildlife. Once they're on video, I
can easily connect the 6.0 to my TV and show family and friends what's
out there.
Thanks!!

4Moultrie Game SPYi60  Jun 23, 2008
By John A. Lehmann
This camera easily straps to a tree w/ the fastex buckle. The laser aimer points to where the center of frame will be. The camera triggers fast when an animal walks into the view. The LCD viewer is handy to check if anything has triggered the camera. Not only is the date/time printed, but the temperature and barometric pressure! The resolution of the day light photos are great due to the 6 megapixels. The lens is good for a trailcamera. The black and white infared photos are grainier (as expected). The one complaint I have with the night photography is that the infared has a extremly SLOW shutter speed. I have many blurred animal shots when the subject is moving. The flash version would "freeze" the night subject. Still, the bear, coyote & deer photos I got are great! I have not tried the video clip yet, but look forward to it. I have done wildlife photograghy for 20 years (35mm), but I had to be waiting behind the camera. Now, a digital camera is automatically taking photos for me. Of course, there is no greater thrill than being "right there" when something occurs in the woods and I can photograph it. The trailcamera is the 24/7 wildlife photographers dream. Pick a hot spot for wildlife and set it up and it is amazing what comes by while your at work or sleeping at night.

1Bad start to an expensive product  Aug 21, 2008
By Brian Tierney "Oldhoundog"
Purchased this unit less than two weeks ago after extensive research on the subject. After only one night in the field, LCD display quit working. There is no question it is a defective product. It really angers me that such an expensive unit should fail in this way. After many, many Amazon purchases I will now, for the first time, try to exchange a defective product. Stay tuned as I will update this review as this event unfolds.

Update 8/21/08: Called C/S at Wing Supply, positive marks for getting right through, no wait. They immediately suggested I phone the Moultrie help desk in case it was something they could fix over the phone. I wasn't too pleased with that, but Wigns did inform me how to return it without having to phone back, which is a plus and they are willing to exchange or refund my money. I'd rate them high for that. Phoned Moultrie right afterwords and although the wait to get through was excessive, the help was quite good. The customer service / technition immediately instructed me to send it to them and they would send back a new one. High praise for Moultrie customer care. I will update once the replacement arrives.

5Moultrie Game Spy I - 60  Mar 29, 2009
By John Furman
I receved this camera as a gift at Christmas. I probably would have never bought one for myself. I did, however, have the responsibility of reviewing and purchasing a game camera for a family member 4 years ago. I thought I got the best then but this one killed it (I think it was a cuddleback).
OK where do I start...
My house backs to acres of woods. We have deer, fox, raccoons, skunk, squirrel, owls and assorted birds.
I waited 3 weeks before openning it, maybe feeling intimidated that it would be a pain to set up. It took little time to read the instructions and then I started playing with the camera. I must admit it was so much easier than I thought to set up. So, for ease of setup I would rate it high.
The camera itself is awesome. It takes great day pix and you can take one when it senses and 2 to 3 additional after the initial sensing with time lapse in between. The sensor must be fast because I haven't had the blanks that I had read about when I researched ealier. I had a fox running through that I caught with the camera.
The video is a nice feature too. 15 seconds or 30 seconds. The only catch here is that at night the max is 15 seconds no matter what the setting is set to.
I don't ever use the little viewer. I guess if you are in the field you might want it ... my reccomendation would be carry your laptop with you. It is a little tough to see ... I think. (For me that takes nothing away from this camera)
The pictures are good ... day very clear and vivid. Night black and white (of course) and clear.
The strap that comes with it to go around the tree wasn't big enough for the tree I originally wanted to put it on.

Bottom line. I LOVE this camera!!!

Recommendations: Get the security box and swivel attachment. At minimum so no one takes this great camera.
I have a review for the Moultrie security box which details more of how I mounted the camera.

5First trail camera  Sep 15, 2009
By Brandt D. Kearly
I purchased this item and have been EXTREMELY happy with the product. It is my first trail camera, so I really don't have anything to compare this to except for friends that have other camera's. So far so good. I have captured EXCELLENT daytime photos and very good night photos. I know the one downfall a lot of people talked about when I was initially reading these reviews was the difficulty of getting to the SD memory card. I also experienced this. I purchased(for 99 cents) a pair of flat end tweezers at my local grocery store. PROBLEM SOLVED!!! Very easy to pop the card out and put it back in with the tweezers. I also bought the security box, so I leave the tweezers right in the box with the camera! Works like a charm! I've had mine out for over two weeks now with LOT'S of great pictures and batteries still show 99% life. Enjoy your camera, guys and gals!!!!
