Great glass at a low price. Oct 07, 2009
By S. Ragsdale I ordered a Leupold Sequoia and a Bushnell Excursion and this one was the best of the bunch. Top quality optics, well made, well balanced. It's 95% as good as scopes costing 4x as much. I like the detachable eyepiece - possible future flexibility if I ever want to use this for "digiscoping" as a telephoto lens.
The only thing reason why you *shouldn't* buy this scope is if you're considering the ProStaff 20-60x82. It's not that much more expensive, it's a little more magnification, and it's a lot better in low light.

Nice little scope Jan 24, 2012
By Reviewer #375 My friend brought out his Carl Zeiss 20-60x80 and I compared it against my ProStaff 16-48x65. We put them both on what we estimated to be the same power. The Zeiss was crisper, but the Nikon was plenty clear. I used the scope to spot some elk about 3/4 mile away. Nice and light weight so it is easy for me to move in and out of car, and to carry up a hill. I like the zoom feature that allows me to have a wide angle view, then zoom in on something of interest. The eye relief gets a little low when on high power, and the image does degrade with the higher power, but it is still good enough to determine what you are looking at. For the price, this is a good scope, and is recommended.
