 Exactly what I wanted Mar 06, 2012

A long time ago I bought almost this exact knife for $25 at a gun show in Southeastern PA and it became my daily driver for the last, probably 6 years. But after a lot of sharpening and even more wear and tear, I decided I needed a new knife. I found this model which is almost identical to mine and bought it immediately. Its a well made knife with good weight and durable construction. My only complaint is that its not well cleaned and oiled when shipped, on top of that it was not assembled properly. These knives come with 2 or 3 plastic spacers on the blade hinge, the one I received happened to have the two spacers on the wrong side of the blade. Which means when the blade is opened quickly it would lock so tight I needed a screw driver to open the blade lock again and put the blade away. After moving the spacer, cleaning and oiling it, this knife if as close to my original as I can get. I just wish I'd kept the first one (First Production Run) in perfect condition.... This is a must buy if you want a really well made tanto blade knife.

For what you pay for it this really is a nice knife. I took one knife and kept pushing and pulling on the blade which refused to bend but eventually broke. The frame its self did not separate even though it loosened up a bit. If you properly sharpen this thing once and a while you will like it for a long time.
