5This is a great pedometer!  Oct 02, 2003
By LIL' DEB "jdeej57"
I liked the Acumen above all the others I have surveyed. I received this as a gift. It clips on and is easy to read. It measures steps, stride, and distance. I used it for my 10,000 steps program. I passed it on to a new walker and upgraded to the Pulse Mate by Acumen, because it is as good as this one with the added plus of counting calories burned, miles and the PULSE METER which helps tremendously in my circuit training. See where walking can lead! People actually stopped me on the street and in the gym to ask where I bought it.

5Nice Pedometer  Mar 23, 2009
By Pangloss "soldierblue"
I have owned many pedometers over the years but this is one of the best. I like the ease of use for setting up parameters (stride length, weight) and reveiwing results after a walk or run. It does about all you need: distance traveled, elapsed time, number of steps, average speed and calories. I compared to the one I have been using and it seems to be as accurate as any of these devices. I do have to wear it on my ankle to get an good count of steps taken. I tried it on my waist and it only counted about a third of the steps compared to my old pedometer. No big deal though. It is larger than most pedometers I've used but it alson has a larger, more readable display. One feature I like is that it doesn't start counting steps or timing until the start button is pushed. Not a huge deal either but nice to have. Also works for walking or running. Overall a great, easy to use product with plenty of features.

4Does a good job  Jun 25, 2009
By Kathleen A. Peruski
Easy to use without a lot of features I didn't need. After I adjusted the stride, the 3.6 mile stats were accurate. Needs a tether cord so you don't drop it.

5great pedometer  Sep 06, 2008
By Carolyn Washington
Just what we were looking for. We have had this product before, but left it in our hotel in England. Easy to read and to use. Great price.

1This, like all the pedometers I tried, was inaccurate  Jun 22, 2011
By Michael Moody "Phoenix52"
This pedometer seemed to have more features and was more practically designed than the 4 others I tried. However, they ALL had one thing in common - they were to inaccurate to be of any use. Worse, the inaccuracies were compounded with each increment of distance traveled!

I gave up, bit the bullit, and got a Garmin 305 and so should you :)
